Things I love Thursday
<3: Kiwi Gal
The past two weeks have been a kind of crazy emotional roller coaster for me. Part of the reason I didn’t post last week was because I was scraping the barrel trying to think of things that were making me happy when all I really wanted to do was run, hide, cry and sleep… I have started to realise (a lesson I am CONSTANTLY having to re-learn) that I don’t have to be grinning like an idiot all week for things to make my heart flutter, or touch me in some way, and as cliche as it sounds it REALLY is the little things. So here we go:
-
Therapy – pretty sure that I’ve posted about how fucking awesome my counselling sessions are before but I don’t think I can say it enough: My counsellor is AMAZING. I pushed one of my sessions forward a couple of weeks due to the shitty week I was having and I am hella glad that I did. That guy has some crazy insight and I ended up crying – which is somewhat of a breakthrough for me as I HATE crying in public/in front of people.
-
My girls – Honestly these girls are my angels and I had the best time out with them on Saturday night. There is nothing quite like a good kick in the ass from the people who know (and love) you the most in the world to get you out of a foul as fuck state of mind. I love these girls to death and would be lost without them.
-
Cheap AWESOME opshop finds - Just got back from my lunch break and found a $3 Carly Harris cropped jacket. Oh HELL YES!
-
My doctor – That woman totally out awsomed herself. After our appointment last week she sent me some information on writing courses she had been looking online and thought that I may be interested. That woman is a darling!
-
21 Jump Street – Had a 21 Jump Street movie marathon after the night out with the girls and all I have to say is shit is FUNNY as hell. I remember watching it when I was a kid and being in love with Johnny Depp (but who wasn’t/isn’t right?), this time around though it’s all about Captain Fuller, that guy is hilarious!
-
Having things to look foward to – Meeting my nephew, baking (and EATING) cornbread (SHIT YEAH!), seeing my sister and dad again… lots of things to look forward to… Let the adventures begin!
-
Little little things – Crazy assed guy at the train station talking to me after counselling session (I don’t know why I always get the crazies, but this was amusing as all hell), watching dvds that I thought were going to be lame as all hell but ended up being pretty damn awesome (P.S. I love you & Jumper), talking to my sister on the phone, lending someone $2 for the bus and then having them repay me $10 (what the hell?! – I’m not complaining though!), chocolate covered coffee beans, having someone tell me that they love me and I’m their second favourite person in the world and to know without a shadow of a doubt that they’re not lying, happy cat that I have been drawing and signing off texts with left right and centre
m(^_^)m MRAOW!
